The Diploma: This website from the Department for Education contains useful information for employers on the Diploma, with links to other helpful websites.
Employability and work experience: The CBI has produced this document to help employers and students to make the most of work experience. It gives advice for employers on how to improve the development of employability offered in work experience programmes.
Every Child Matters - Aims and outcomes: The Government aims for every child to be healthy; stay safe; enjoy and achieve; make a positive contribution; and achieve economic wellbeing. To achieve these ends, local authorities are working with organisations in the area - from schools and hospitals to local businesses and voluntary groups. This website contains more information on the Every Child Matters agenda and links to other useful sites.
National Curriculum: This website is useful for anyone who wants a good overview of the National Curriculum, as well as specific information on compulsory subjects to be taken by students at different key stages. (Website operated by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority - QCA.)
National Guidance on Enterprise Education: Teachernet has developed this guidance for schools and teachers, but the information on enterprise education is also useful for all employers planning to engage with education.
Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency (QCDA): The QCDA works with the Government and other agencies to develop and review the National Curriculum and provide guidance to those who work in or with the education sector. The QCDA website contains information on the National Curriculum, advice and guidance for employers and much more.

The CRB and ISA work together to identify candidates who may be unsuitable to work with children or other vulnerable members of society. Everyone who works with children for an extended length of time must undergo a CRB check.
