Overview

The Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency (QCDA) is an executive non-departmental public body of the Department for Education (DfE) in the UK.

Role

In England, QCDA develops the curriculum, improves and delivers assessments, and reviews and reforms qualifications.

Formerly QCA (Qualifications and Curriculum Authority), the QCDA has passed over its regulatory functions to the newly formed Ofqual - an independent exams regulator.
